Charter Night
On 14th August 2010 the Rotaract Club of Sunnybank will be celebrating its charter. The night will be held at the Calamvale hotel at 6pm for a 6:30pm start. There will be delicious finger food, drinks, music, dancing, presentations and speeches…and a whole lot of excitement and fun!! We would love to see as many people there as possible to celebrate this momentus time with us. Tickets are $25 per head. Congratulations everyone. We have done a great job so far!

Trivia night at the Chalk
Get your thinking caps on…it’s time for Trivia. For our social activity this month, Tuesday 31st August, we’re going to the Chalk hotel for their weekly trivia night to win some prizes with our combined incredible intellectual talent! 1st prize is $75, 2nd prize is $50 and 2nd last prize is $25 (to spend at the bar). The Trivia is held at the “Stumps Bar” from 7pm and the best part is it’s FREE!!
2010 Changeover Luncheon for the Rotaract club of Logan
The Rotaract Club of Logan is the second youngest club in our district. We have been invited to their changeover function at Serrano’s Mexican Cantina (64 George St Beenleigh) on Saturday 28th August. Cost is $25/person for a 3 course (almost all you can eat) lunch. We have been asked to arrive at 11:45am for a 12 noon start. RSVP by 16th August to rotaract.logan@hotmail.com.au
Bare foot bowls Bring-a-team fundraiser
Our first major fundraiser is underway and we’re very excited. On Sunday 19th September at 12pm we will be running a bare foot bowls day at the Sunnybank Bowls club. The event is to raise money for a community in Ghana. We will be running a fair trade business with them so that they can make handicrafts to sell at our events and be paid a fair wage.There will be a BBQ lunch, an afternoon of bowls on the green and free coaching available. The cost is $15/person as it is an international fundraiser and we need your support!
Make a team of 4, or even two teams of 4 and come along to have a great afternoon!!
